A scarce example of a tin advertising sign for Wakefield castrol motor oil. Slightly different to the usual example this one being the retail bulk example. Dated 28th December 1931. This would have original been fixed to the back of an oil cabinet outside of a garage. What’s particularly nice about this example is the price chart includes castrol R which is the motorsport grade of oil. A beautiful printed tin sign with the beautiful pictorial of the early castrol xl oil cabinet dispenser.
condition
the tin sign has suffered from surface wear with scratches and blemishes but not an example you see on the market very often. But decent colour and the cabinet and prices are in decent condition and visible.
