A fabulous rare example of a Edwards sharps of Maidstone the huge confectionery and toffee manufacturers. Often using sir kreemy nut and the parrot. This showcard predates that. Being around the First World War. A beautiful showcard with the illustration by the Middlesex artist George Fredrick Nicholas featuring his signature to the bottom left. The image is just striking with the red riding hood like character with the stick holding the early toffee tin. With a gang of young children chasing the tin in the snow. A beautiful rare showcard I have never seen another example.
condition
the showcard has had some very professional repair in places but has been done to a good standard. A very rare card. Professionally framed with glass
