one of the best brass plaques ive had for a long time. would of orginally hung behind the counter of a large high end butchers. Heavily engraved with the wording, 'meats stored in cold room during hot weather'. Scripted in lovely font the sign would make a great addition to a kitchen. would polish up nicely or even left how it is. the sign dates from the early 20th century. 2 tiny hanging holes at the top i believe these to have been added later on as they do not look correct. In my opinion it would of originally been in a wooden frame for displaying.
the sign is in lovely condition, could do with a good clean. i have left it up to the buyer to decide if they wanted to polish or leave as is. A lovely original piece of butchering history.
