stunning 1D monsters enamel sign. made from a very thick and heavy enamel, 2 large hanging holes at the top of the sign this would of originally hung outside the shop on a blacksmith made bracket. I have seen the sign with brass eyelets as an insert so i am guessing these are missing. Would say it dates from around the 1920s. lovely typography and the green colour really pops. ideal for a kitchen or even a bit of interior design in your home.
condition
The sign is over 100 years old so would of been doing very well to survive without faults. The first fault being the staining that has been left on the sign in my experience this looks to be the left over effects of concrete. some may come out as i havent tried to clean the sign. Few dings and enamel loss over the signs and the odd patch af crazing but the lovely bright green still shines nicely. completly original with no repair. would display well.
